Thanks guys. Considering the image quality I had to work with, it's pretty cool it came out that good. I learned a new rotoscoping from a guy on myspace, Brian (Indakin)... Leda you know him, you met him in NY I believe... He's from Connecticut. He came out to Comic Con and hung out with us... By the way he was picked to be the Anakin at the Rose Parade!!! I modified my post to put a better original pic than my RL pic. You know they still have that old pic as my costume pic though I've submitted new pics like 40 times.
Kryy, your outer robe looks EXACTLY like mine... except much cleaner. I sleep in mine. I spent the night at my friend Tony's house and curled up in my outer robe and passed out. I try to make my costume as comfortable and everyday as possible. I wear that thing far too often.

Heheh... I made a jedi robe in polar fleece so that I could cozy up with it on the couch watching tv, etc... I use it as a blanket too!

Oh, that's a good idea, Leda! I just might do that. My husband likes the house colder than I do in the winter so I'm always wearing sweatshirts and sweaters. Maybe I can still find some fleece in one of the Star Wars prints. Or maybe I'll just make it in brown.
My husband wanted his cotton (made by Deva) "monk's" robe replaced when it wore out after 20 years. Since Deva no longer sells that style, I made him a new one out of linen and used a commercial pattern that I wanted to test for Jedi robe.
I made a winter coat out of heavy wool melton an used my Jedi robe patter. I just modified it to have a smaller hood, narrower sleeves and a little shorter.

Well, here's my first attempt at a Jedi costume. The lighting was bad, but it's better than nothing. This is with the fixed belt; originally it had a dog-chain clip.

In the picture that's in my sig, I was wearing a long-sleeved shirt. In these pics I'm wearing and honest-to-goodness under tunic.

Here are some pics of my previous revisions. I started in '99 and have gone through 3 complete redoes and about 7 revisions. The 1999 revision 3 pictured below has cargo pants with the pockets ripped off. Didn't have time to finish new ones before Halloween. The 2002 costume sports my current boots w/out the shin and tarsal guards. The one I wore at CIII was too hot and too heavy. It's basically the same cosutme I'm now turing into a battle-worn Jedi General. 1999 & 2002 CIII Now To any new folks out there, take you're time. It'll be worth it! Semper, General Fidelis

Good advice... and comforting to some of us "slow pokes" with "analysis paralysis". ;D Nice work, General Fidelis and UCJ!

Lazlo, that photoedition is nice! (Altough I don't think its in the good thread.)
It looks like the Jedi documentary advisor of the Council... filming important Jedi battles.
