Has anyone attempted using a hemp fabric to make their garb? It's a bit pricey, but it has great texture, and might be an acceptable alternative for some other fabrics. Ideas?

Yeah, it seems pretty uncomfortable, but it has a pretty accurate texture.

There are also hemp blend fabrics, where it's combined with silk or linen or cotton. Those might be more confortable.
I've seen hemp fabric online, and my guess is that it lasts a long time. But it's always expensive, so I haven't tried any and I'd really prefer to get a sample before buying any for a costume.

i used hemp for my first tunic, great to work with but it unravels when you wash, then it gets heavy. I also had trouble dyeing it the ight color, mine turned out peach-ish orange. Ill never use it again.
