I actually think the 5th element example would be pretty much what they would wear. Remember that monks that are in our time wear entirely unpractical robes, and Jedi robes arent that practical for their time either ;D

I have a fleece Jedi robe that I wear practically every night... my actual Jedi bathrobe! It's like wearing a blanket.

The monks robes at the time were practical in a way but they also represented the symplicity of their vows and lives. From what I'd read, the Jedi's clothing is practical for the part of the galaxy they'er in, they too have a representational meaning of their simple lives and the force.
On some worlds, the Jedi fit in, and others they stuckout. They'd defiantly stick out on this planet unless they walked into a science fiction convention.

I've been watching this thread a while and in all honesty I think that Jedi Magus has the idea right. Add a brown hoody (ala Ki-Adi's robe with sleeves) and that would be cool. On a completely unrelated note *points at Mynn's sig banner* Contrary to popular belief, inspired by her offical picture on the website, Jauhzmynn Enz isn't a Miraluka and does have eyes.  |

Sorry to go off topic, but why does Mynn have sunglasses on in that and a lot of other pictures? Just cause you like them?
