Humm, good question. Maybe a necklace? <shrugs> I wear all diferant types of clothing. Noone would know who or what I am unless the garments were distinctive.

When dressed like this I would still carry my lightsabre, as I carry it anywhere, appropriate or not. Heheheh. They look at me funny every time at The Great Steak and Potato.

We have to keep in mind that the Jedi are "warrior-monks" so I would think that a sense of traditional garb would be present. What about something like this? Vito Cornelius from "The Fifth Element"

I agree they'd keep a little more to the look than what I said, but mines just a reason to have able to kind of wear your Jedi stuff whenever you can't wear robes and such. (I think they'd wear someting similar to that of the Shaolin monks, myself.)

I was thinking about this a few nights ago as I was practicing my sword play in anticipation of my RLSA sabre coming in. If Jedi were real, and in our time, I don't think they'd go with the full out robes. They'd be a little obsolete and there are more efficient options. I was thinking: Maybe one way to do it would be to wear tan pants and a t shirt, and a plain button up shirt of the robe colour and wear it open. You could still wear the boots I suppose. This would be a good way to show your Jedi pride when wearing a full costume isn't exactly acceptable. (Sith would just be an all black variant. And I guess Anakin's thing could be black pants, dark brown shirt to represent the dark tabards, black or dark brown open shirt.) LOL! I do that. Ask Xana! Tan v-neck shirt, brown pants, boots, brown belt with cellphone pouches, long brown hooded sweater... sometimes, a crinkle gauze overshirt... normal clothing. I call it "Jedi Light" or "Jedi Casual" And the lightsaber mini is always on my keychain! I wore a Jedi Dressy Casual to court one day, and it made me feel alot better about being there!

I wore a Jedi Dressy Casual to court one day, and it made me feel alot better about being there! lol that needs to go in the "you know your a star wars fan when..." thread lol. it's all about what your comfort zone is - obviously we're all comfortable in costume so coming close to that is of course going to be a confidence boost.

I live in NYC, you have to be stranger than a Jedi to get noticed, I wear it to work every now & then, and go to & from events dressed, nary a raised eyebrow.

(...) I wore a Jedi Dressy Casual to court one day, and it made me feel alot better about being there! Why were you in court anyway? I hope you didn't cut off someone's arm while being in a bar... my part of "modern Jedi" has been to have grown beard for about a year, and to wear a trench coat most of the time (looks a little like the robe, minus the hood)

LOL!! If I did I don't remember! Car accident... Legally it was my fault because I hit the car in front of me, but only because he stopped short after he decided to make a run off the highway ramp... I had to argue that I wasn't a wreckless driver. I won... sort of. They upped the fine and dropped the points.
