YAY! Snoopy Dance time ^_^ The outfit is finally complete, I'm happy and it's done and now I can hide it all away till next month. Took pictures of the comstume outside, dog and the horse even joined in with me. Enjoy! All feedback is welcome ^_^ All pictures can be found here: s27.photobucket.com/albums/c196/hathor_sg1x/Jedi%20Costume%202006/

Aaaaah finished costume is so nice. ;D It looks very Jedi and that's a nice match with the robe and the boots. The important question is how does it feel when you wear it? That test wearing tells you where those little things are that need to be adjusted.
In one picture you have the tabards over the obi. Actually, in the movie costumes, the obi is tied over the tabards. And that hold the tabards in place better that way, too.

Looks great Are the boots and robe actually brown, or are they that reddish color? For some reason my tunic tends to photograph as maroon (as you can see in my signature bar) although it's actually a brown color (as you can see from my avatar pic, which was taken with a different camera)

The outfit works well, it's just the shoulder armor that bugs me. My grandmother didn't like the way the pattern was so like I said on some other forms she modifyed it to her ecpections and it's nice the way it turned out and the obi is sewn onto the shoulder stuff so not much can be done to change it. To keep them in place since the pattern was made for a man I'm taking a small safey pin and pinning it below to hold them, but my belt does help to keep them secure as well. No the boots I ordered from Lane Brant were Red, but they look more a reddish brown like my robe so they both match well. All the photos I took were done outside with the sunlight to help. If you noticed in the shots where it's wooded my hair seemed more blonde and in the ones with the white archway it's a regular tone.(My hair likes the sun.) But none of them I altered in anyway so this is how everything looks. Looks great Are the boots and robe actually brown, or are they that reddish color? Wow... cool! Love the colors. The boots match the robe nicely! I'm really very partial to the reddish brown color!

When i was a kid that colour shoe was called "oxblood" which really was about right, they were descibing the colour of it dried, dark red browninsh, nice. Very nice, wear it well, and have fun doing it. I looks like a Jedi, I give no higher compliment than that. Now, about the horse, looks very quarter horse-y in type, is it yours? The thing I miss most in the city is having a horse, had to find mine a home when I moved up here, but still love to ride whenever I can.

The horse is my sister's. She got it from Make A Wish Foundation. Buckskin-Dun. She's got an illness of the lungs that cannot be cured or CAN(she'd need new lungs) I don't have it nor does my other baby sister. We were lucky to not get it. I haven't ridden her, I only rode one horse I ever liked years ago when I was 5-6, but she had to be put down sadly, so I'm not crazy about this horse, she bites if you try to get on her. Now my grandfather...She'll let him! Anyone else, unless you got a treat for her you are not her friend. lol She has attempted though to eat my hair while I was getting grain for her.(I think we can see why in the pictures why she would try to eat my hair lol) Thanks for the compliments on the costume and I will enjoy wearing it next month! I've just got to watch myself at Motor City Comic Con lol I got 10 girls pomiseing to rip my robe right off me. I'm sorry to hear about your sister. Many horses will try things like that, mostly because they are lazy by nature and will get into bad habits easily, they're not usually very smart either, but I like them anyway.

It would appear I'm late on thanking some of you for the comments. So thank you once again for all of them I've had family problems happening and my wonderful grandmother who made the Jedi outfit(and took pretty nifty pictures) for me is currently in the hospital. Easter 'Eve' she began having problems and difficulty breathing, but come Sunday it got worse I was irritated with my grandfather for not making her go anywhere. So I called my mother and got her to come over sooner, she talked to her and about an hour later took her to get looked at. Had we waited 12 more hours she would have been dead. Her lungs had filled with water, with about an inch left to breathe in them, water around the heart and some other problems. She's doing better, now I have to go see her tomorrow. They may release her. I hope they do and in a way I would rather they keep her till Monday just to be safe, but I'm just glad the worst has passed, but it just means some changes around here to adjust to. That and before all of this happened, she said she is pleased you guys like how the outfit turned out, and wishes she could find her one sons(my uncle) Ewok costume she made years ago to show off. But to quote her; 'The only thing I'm sewing for the rest of the year are cute little dresses, don't ask me to sew more boyish things again until next year.' I tend to dress as guys quite a bit with the whole cosplaying/costuming thing ^_^; She wants me to do one of Padme's Japanese styled outfits. I might, 2007 costume is still undecided. Awesome costume and great find on the boots. Cute horse and dog.:-)

Glad your Grandmother is OK. Jedi can be very feminine! Some of Padme's costumes are beautiful, as are some of the costumes worn by the other Queens.

She was much better yesterday when I saw her for a few hours, but this older gentlemen wheeled into her room and just sat their stareing for awhile...It bothered me, but thankfully he wheeled away to annoy someone else.
She's getting a minor surgery done today, but IF all goes okay and she can function she's comming home. Friend came over last night, talked ot him manged ot get a load off my shoulders and a good laugh, when he put on my Jedi robe, got two pictures of him in it.
Funny part was he liked the feel of it and wanted to run off with it.
As for Padme's costume's I love all of her outfits. I think the ones she wore durning EP I were what dragged me into liking the films a bit more and I went nit-picking happy when I noticed a lot of it is Japanese styled, so doing one of her gowns would be easy, it's just the head doo-hickies I would have problems with and finding a better actual face paint japanese women wear.

White Rice Powder. Great stuff, I like to use it over a good water base white clown pancake, I've used it for years for 18th Century powder & patch, and clowning, and also for any other white face thing I've ever done.
