Costume Gallery Thread

As the site's main gallery is still under construction, I thought it would be nice to have a gallery thread where people can share pictures of their costumes. I'll start the ball rolling with the picture that is also my new avatar. I can't take full-length self-portraits, so this is the best I can do The background is the droid room from Padme's starship in TPM, and the saber is my latest personal one, which I was able to repair and finish sooner than I expected

Here is a deleted scene from Ep I. You might be able to find it as an easter egg on disc 3 of the Region 14 (Newfoundland) dvd:



I played a Jedi who is killed in the first five minutes of the movie (I went back to the Republic Cruiser to check on the Captain just before it is blown up by the turbo laser). For the rest of the film, I was a Force Spirit. Unfortunately I had not yet learned to project my image, nor could I sound my voice, so I was invisible and silent- but trust me; I was there.

I doubt this would be permitted as a membership costume, but I got bored and decided to do a composite costume. It is my current Jedi costume (but with sand-colored pants) and as Anakin's RotS costume has double-layered tabbards, it has the black tabbards and obi from my Sith costume laid over the existing brown tabbards. Due to the Anakin inspiration for the costume, it only seemed fitting to wield his lightsaber for the full-length shot. Please excuse the poor quality of the photos, they were taken on a cellphone

ok I feel a bit lost. It's been awhile since I've attempted on putting any photos on TJA site. So how can I put at least 1 pix of me in costume here.

I have picture trail, but I think that is only to link to an album
I do have tiny pix to, but kind of forgot how to do it again.

Heh no problem, I'll try to make it as simple as possible:

Step 1: Upload the pic to your favourite hosting site.

Step 2: Open the picture on the site so you are looking at it, then right click the picture and click "properties" or your browser's equivelant. Highlight the URL next to the "Adress (URL)" heading in IE, or "Location" in Firefox. Ctrl+C to copy it!

Step 3: Reply to a post, and click the little button with a landscape on it, in the Add Tags section. Two IMG tags will pop up - paste the URL you copied in between these two tags.

And voila, instant hosting! This method also means you don't have to search around for the image URL on the hosting site, which can at times be tricky. We look forward to seeing your pics!
