The pictures in natural sunlight are awesome! The fabric is a dead-ringer; well done indeed! When I first looked at your pics I thought, "Why the long face?" LOL! After reading you explanation- I was like, "OK I get it now". Please pardon me if this sounds weird/dumb: but do you wear a wig for your Anakin costume? I always thought that was your hair- it's very real looking!

Tanzan...hes putting on my pouch Ki Vaan, indeed it is a wig Cost me about $30, and its not perfect but it does its job I like it really, since it does look quite good, aside from certain times, like the one group picture, but if you look at the orginal sneak peak images its sitting much better. Big diference when you have a good mirror Glad it fooled you though!

With glue? Do you mean as in repairing it or just attatching it in general? I thought pouches just slid over the belt like covertec clips do...

I was completely fooled! I would still believe it was your hair had I not seen the first pic without it on. Pretty good price for that! After I shaved off my beard last summer, I bought myself a fake beard and mustache for my Obi-Wan impression. Spent quite a bit on it, but I haven't worn it yet. It still needs a proper trimming to match my old beard, and it's a pain to put on with spirit gum. Guess I'll remain "young Obi-Wan" LOL!

Tanzan, hes just putting it on me, I cannot see my back so he was just sliding it on, no repair or anything... Oh, fair enough It just looked like he had a bottle in his hand as if using an adhesive After I shaved off my beard last summer, I bought myself a fake beard and mustache for my Obi-Wan impression. Spent quite a bit on it, but I haven't worn it yet. It still needs a proper trimming to match my old beard, and it's a pain to put on with spirit gum. Guess I'll remain "young Obi-Wan" LOL! Or, you could just grow your beard back I admit, my own beard doesn't grow as fully as I'd like, and my fiance wasn't too pleased when I started growing it, but there's no way I'd shave it off now, having read this on Wikipedia [Edit to fix quotes]

Thanks Ani, sunlight sure is a differnt look than every picture I took so far! i want to darken the tunic some still and go from there, but I thought it looked good. I have a few adjustments to make yet but we shall see Glad you like the pouting one lol, I was told, "no smiling!" and then asked to make an anakin face... Unless you've had a problem with fading, it doesn't look like the tunic needs to be any darker. In regular room light it will look perfect. Perhaps you can have a darker tunic exclusively for sunlight event? Didn't they use multiple versions of the costumes for different activities in the movies.
Ha ha! on the Anakin-pouty-face. No smiling? Gosh and we thought Obi-Wan was serious....

Well no as far as they have said teh differnt versions were differnt versions of weathering, not colour. I personally would prefer it a bit darker, not going into black or anything but darker enough that it has a pleasent contrast. We will see though! -Justin

The tunic that I wore for the TJA pics at CIII was quite dark as well, but it photoed much lighter in the outdoor light, not that it was very sunny that day.
