Has anyone (I'm looking to you here, Justin ) got any good reference shots of the costume Anakin wore for his spirit appearance at the end of ROTJ? It seems to have the same long tunic and belt as Obi-Wan wore in ANH, but the same under-tunic as he (Anakin) wore in ROTS. I originally thought that the cloak might've been the same as his AoTC cloak, but the full-length shot showed that it was actually a sleeved robe.

I thought they just stuck his head on Sebastian Shaw's body.

if I believe this image they only took a shot of the head to replace the correct, age accurate version of it by the incorrect, too young version of the jedi. ^_^ Weird thing is - PT anakin ALWAYS had darker outfit then this - how are we supposed to even think this is normal?

The dark outfit was a representation of his darker side - when he redeemed himself, he lost that dark side to himself. Thats why they kept Sabastian's body - it would have been just as easy to superimpose all of Anakin, so I dont doubt that it was intentional.
As for the costume, it wouldnt be crazy to assume it would be pretty much the same as Obi-Wan's. Shame you cant see a lightsaber... ;D

Thats about as best reference as you will get. They just replaces Shaws head and neck with Haydens...so same inner tunic but Shaws body... As for wardobe, well Obi-Wan took his with him, Anakin died as Vader, all he had was Obi-Wan's spare As for teh representation of his darkerside, yeah but he wasn;t much darker than Sansee Tiin or Plokoon or pink Yoda dude, so really his brown wasn't out of the ordinary One of the reasosn I love the VD saying how the council was upset at his colour choices when most of them wore just as dark if not darker browns.

Well, if "when he redeemed himself, he lost that dark side to himself." then why isn't he having the face of the state of when he redeemed himself??
if he has the face "of the time when he was a jedi" then why doesn't he have the clothes that suit that time of his life?? particularly that it isn't much particular, like Justin said...
Anyway, I stoped trying to find the logic behind any of the choices in SW - Georges doesn't make it for logic... otherwise a tie fighter wouldn't make any sound, even when they explode (like fire was likely to happen in a vacuum)...
This said, I noticed they changed the inner tunic's neck. See Obi-Wan has a turtle style neck. The Hayden EP6 anakin suit has a dark PT inner tunic, a pale outer tunic with matching tabbards and a brown robe that seams to be similar to Obi Wan's color.

Well the costume is essentially Obi-Wans OT costume, aside from teh inner tunic, at this point. Shaws costume was the same though.

They must have had "jedi clothes" in the prop dept, without even thinking about having variations in colors... these came only with the PT. ^_^

Well all they had was Obi-Wan right, and then Luke but Luke did his own thing (but inspired heavily the PT).

I thought I saw in one of the other books where Anakin tried to allow Leia to see him, but she could only ever see him as Vader, so that is how he appeared to her.
I figured that you can only recognize the spirit by how you remember them. Luke knew the old jedi masters Obi-Wan and Yoda, but had to fill in seeing his father (Sebastian Shaw) as he would appear in jedi robes.
But, generally actor replacement just bothers me. ;D

Doesn't go along with a younger 70's hair Anakin though, since he only saw his bald pale dad hours before.
The books are just ideas and thoughts on the matter. Obviously they appear how they want to, in GL's vision.

As for Lightsabers, they wouldn't need em, they're dead. They don't need clothes when they're dead, either. But it's not that kind of movie.
I like to think that they have blue, ghosty lightsabers under their robes, just for the sake of accessorizing.
