Okay, I bought a new camera today and thought that the best thing to try it out with would be my costume... so heres a few pics of my little display in my spare room. Yay! The display in all its glory: The costume itself with no boots or pants yet, and missing three pouches (hey, its a work in progress!) Close up of the belt (might re-do this one day): ...and the back (thanks to Justin and his mate for the excellent rear pouch) Arguably the most vital element: ..another view And finally, a quick game of spot the lightsaber! There are 6 in this pic... Well, that's about it for now. Comments welcome ;D

VERY nice! Well done Jedi garb. Thanks for the new photos.
The sixth lightsaber was difficult but I finally spotted it...it's not very visible.

That's as close to ObiWan as one can get....right down to the belt. The material looks very comfy. When will the whole thing be ready to wear?

Thanks everyone!
Jayden - the material is just crinkle cotton - but I think what makes it seem more substantial is the colour. Crinkle cotton is usually white, but this stuff was a much more tan colour (it was bought like that, didnt need dyeing). It was bought at Joannes by a friend.
thanks again for the comments. I need to make a proper display for the rest of my sabers

Jayden: The fabric at the e-bay store said it was a cotton-poly blend, but it didn't say how much polyester content it had. It's a nice texture, but without knowing what the fiber content is, it's hard to guess how warm it would be as a tunic.
Seda: GREAT costume! You do wonderful things with crinkile cotton. Now we really need to see you in it.
