Here are my photos. I've set permissions on the album to allow everyone to download the high res (2-3 mb each) images. Click on the thumbnail and then see below the larger image "Get Original Uploaded photo" public.fotki.com/Kait/star_wars/fidm_-_dressing_a/The first many are Jedi

Pictures 36, 37, & 38: That is Not Obi Wan's saber. I know the original TPM prop mysteriously went missing from the set (probably in Ewan's pocket ) but what kind of mugs do they take people for? I've seen home-made fan replicas that are more accurate to the actual movie prop than that saber is... [Edit to add] The costume shots are great though, thanks for putting them up

Thanks for posting the pictures! I am disappointed in how some of the Jedi costumes are displayed; they let the robes cover up a lot of details on the belts and tunics and boots. I wish they had pinned them back a little bit. Ideally, it would be nice if the robe and the rest of the costume could be displayed separately, but that might take up more space for the Jedi than the rest of the public might care to see.
It's very nice to see the OT Jedi outfits next to the prequel outfits. Again, Luke's interpretation of a Jedi Knight costume looks like a "good first try". But since he was the remaining Jedi in the galaxy, whatever he came up with by default what Jedi wear.

Young Jedi Anakin's costume is very interesting indeed, strange material!
Thanks for posting these excellent pics
EDIT: Gee they really buggered up the Anakin display didnt they? The inner tabards are crossed against the front of him like a tunic...

Over on tfn, a person who works at FIDM and who dressed the exhibit is posting. She reported to some of our local (Seattle) folk who visited the first Fan Day that each costume had a book on how to set it up. So they followed the book. That, however, doesn't mean it's correct as fans noticed that the younglings helmets were reversed. That was corrected before my photos.
TanzanLinnear....I'm just going on what the label said.

That, however, doesn't mean it's correct as fans noticed that the younglings helmets were reversed. That was corrected before my photos. heh..that was me..guilty as charged Great photos Kai, I snagged all the ones I will ever use Jedi wise I love the close ups of TPM Anakin, interesting that the pattern was carried on to the ROTS...almost the same style of pattern. As for lightsabers...yep thats Obi-Wans ROTS Version 1 saber that was incidently written out of the film. They added that bit for an unknown reason but its the TPM/AOTC style saber. Newlt machined though as some details have been altered slightly and the paints and materials are differnt. As for the TPM hero going missing...nope...just a rumour Chris Trevis confirmed that it was mere rumour. Jocasta has some REAL intriging tools on her belt...DEFINATELY not a lightsaber as the Visual Dicionary describes, I wonder what their intentions were though from a prop point of view...somesort of repair kits, information collectors? a way to sush people in her library?

;D Ha! I still want them to do a Jocasta Nu action figure like the (Seattle) librarian action figure ( www.mcphee.com/items/11548.html ) with "amazing shushing action!"

A book for the set up of each costume? Wow, they are organized; I'm impressed, even if the younglings helmets were backwards. But I still wish the robes could be displayed separately from the rest of the Jedi costumes.
There isn't a Jocasta Nu action figure??? I wonder how she got missed? And it's not a lightsaber on her belt? Well, really, I can't think of anything better for shushing people in the library than a lightsaber.

TanzanLinnear....I'm just going on what the label said. Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming you at all, I'm gratefull that you put the pictures up for us to share. What dissapointed me, was that the prop itself is completely inaccurate, and they were trying to pass one thing off as something that it was not...

yeah as I said in my post. Its not inaccurate, its just his ROTS saber. Being labeled as TPM and AOTC is decieving, but its just mislabeled, it is still his ROTS saber that never made it into film.
