I own both of the games and have beat each at least four times on both light and dark. So i'll just open this little thread up so if you've got any hints or special secrets you want to share go ahead.. This is mostly for KOTOR2 Heres a few I found. Most know that the jedi sentinal is the all around best character when it comes to just about everything. In KOTOR2 it is easier to beat it on the darkside especially when you choose to be a sith lord and later gain the power force crush( no one can resist it including bosses-it is a force choke basically that lifts them of the ground and crushes them ) Gaining influence atton responds mostly to darkside actions to gain influence The handmaiden is lightside Visas is lightside Kreia is a combination HK and Mandalore are darkside

I never liked KOTOR... it would have been great, if the combat was in real time. I fall asleep during those turn based fights.
Now JKII... theres some real lightsaber battles!

personaly i liked KOTOR better that KOTOR2, the story was better and so was the ending, but when i played KOTOR2 on the darkside for some reason it wouldn't let me upgrade my prestige to become a sith lord.

I agree that KOTOR had a better story line epecially when you find out you are lord revan. KOTOR 2 reminded me more of anakins story. Always running into the fight without thinking of the conseqences, but it was fun arguing with atris. So it was fun killing her in the end even as a jedi.

I also own and have played both of these games. For storyline KOTOR 1 was slightly better but lost value with the lack of choice. However, KOTOR 2 has a good storyline in some ways but a terrible ending. But it makes up for this lack by having 4 optional characters, prestige classes and many more influence choices throughout the game. I also enjoyed the way your skills actually have a useful purpose in this game.
Of course rpg's are usually turn-based because they are supposed to be plot driven and not solely by entertaining battles.

Thats why i don't like most of the starwars games because their all hack and slach type. I like ones with deep story lines and that your actions influence the outcome.

IF I wanted lightsaber battles I would definitely play JKII. So who would be your favorite character in KOTOR 1 and 2? And favorite force power?

Well in KOTOR 1, revan since i like playing as the good guy and revan is just like anakin because he redeems himself. And my favorite power on that game is force lightning, for the fact its one of the easiest ways to kill malak.
In KOTOR 2 i would say Atton, since he is the han solo character who i eventually train as a jedi along with the handmaiden. On this game however i love being a darkside character, since around the end where Kreia turns on you, you get force crush which nothing can withstand, even bosses, and i use kill a whole lot.

My favorite character from KOTOR 1 would have to be HK-47. There is just something about that assassin droid that I like so much. Though my favorite dialoge would be that between Bastila and Revan. Force Lightning is my favorite here. For KOTOR 2 my favorite character would have to be either Mandalore of HK-47 once again. Force Crush is great though I rather like Force Kill. So reminicent of the OT movies.

yeah force crush you should save for sion and kreia. I don't know how you could concider Nihilus a sith lord, he was easier that some of the generic sith you fight.

The hardest non-boss characters would be the Sith Marauders. Now those guys are annoying. Nihilus is easy since I am around level 40. The glitch on the Korriban temple is such a great thing.

Thats one thing i like about the second game is you can level up alot faster than the first one. At then end of the first game im always either a level 19 or 20 but by the second game at the end im most likely your level or alittle lower. And i love freedon nadds tomb on korriban, you really see how tall of a jedi malak was.
