I was thinking of games workshop paint, but it would take an expensive amount of that stuff. Any ideas what sticks well to sintra? I'm really not sure as I've never worked with sintra. I find very few paints ever stick to plastics enough to be truly 'handleable' From what I can see, it looks great Is that the 'natural' color of the sintra? I do wish people wouldn't use that image host... 90% of the time all I see is a blue screen when I click the links

That sintra is indeed black. As for the host, I just picked it from a bunch that ppl were suggesting. It suits my needs.

I've often had good results with KRYLON spray paint on pretty much anything, so, you could try that, even if you use the primer to cover it completely and then use other paint to cover that as a base. There are also EPOXY paints that will cover enamel & porcelain tubs and will stick even after with water, I suspect they'll work as well, they need lots of ventilation though, and take quite a while to dry/cure totally.

I will be indeed. Though veritate said if you're in the costume contest, you can't wear that costume before the contest happens, so if I enter I will likely just wear my new tunic and stuff without the armour for the main events.

I could definitely make more of these. Shhh on the $$$, never know if GL's lawyers are lurking. I don't want to get into some business with these things though; I don't know what shipping would be like since it's very little material but such great volume that it takes up. My best advice is to make your own cardboard cutouts first. You can base the shapes on the pic I have of the outlines on sintra. Play around with it until you find a way to make it fit you. Talk to a local plastic distributor, or buy sintra online. You only need about a quarter sheet (2'x4') to make this. I'll try and make a tutorial soon. But after getting advice from a 501st guy I know about sintra, everything was really easy. Everything I did on this from planning to the mostly painted stage it's in now took perhaps 20 hours of work. It's not bad.
