Has anyone made any CloneWars shoulder armour for their Jedi? I've been thinking about this a lot, and I realized that Vader's shoulder armour painted grey or brown would seem to be spot on. Has anyone seen this before? If I can figure out the logistics of this I may make it this summer.

essentially, Obi-Wan wear the full body armor of a clone in Clone Wars. You could look about getting those from the clone costumers, maybe? I've seen a pic of someone making an Obi-Wan from a Stormtrooper armor (way inacurate) but not many General Kenoby from Clone Wars... I plan on having the full outfit at some point, but armor is pricey.

I know about the Obi-Wan armour, I was referring to the armour that most other Jedi wear just on their shoulders. Anakin wears it, Windu, even the Shistavanen Jedi. It seems that Vader's shoulders seem to have evolved from this Jedi shoulder armour.

I believe that a pic would help greatly here.

Interesting. I'll think about it and see what I can come up with. I may want something like that for my next costume.

It's not shoulder armer per say it is the cape holder it keeps the cape in place as they move

Well I don't really see why the Jedi would make just a cape holder that covers the entire shoulder area without it being armour, but to each his own. If you compare those pics of Anakin with one of Vader, you'll see it's pretty close. Given the rounded shape with jointed shoulder bells, I never considered they could be anything BUT armour.

maybe it is armor of a sort but it does hold the cape in place

The Shistavian also had bracers for his (with the hololink built in) like the Clone troopers had.

I've wracked my brain on this one and I dont think that it can be done in real life. I think that you could make something that looks SIMILAR out of vaccuform ABS plastic. I'd say talk to someone or a number of people from the 501st.

I was thinking I'd use a Vader armour mantle and make my own shoulder bells out of Syntra, since Vader's are rounded and Anakins are just curved on one axis.

Oh you can make this, it would just have to be 4 pars, 2 sholderbells, and front and back, snapping into place.
