Wow, dude. The tunics are awesome. Love the flaring tabbards. My one opportunity for improvement would be that the pants don't look quite baggy enough. And I guess you already know about needing boots. Other than that, wicked.

Looks cool. And nice color. The tabards fare out a bit. I'd recommend wearing it for a few hours and doing things in it. See if you have any problem with the tabards slipping off the shoulders; that would be my one concern about them.

Very Nice Dude! Tabards always fall off of me so I had to resort to velcro....

The tunic, undertunic and obi all work really well together Did you use a seperate kimono as the undertunic in the end, or did you just do a 'fake collar' as you mentioned before? The pants are great, and will look fine with a pair of boots My one criticism is the tabards... They would look better if they came a few inches longer than the tunic, rather than being the same length, and while the flared design is interesting, it looks way too wide at the shoulders :-\ I don't mean to sound harsh, it's a great costume, and will look fantastic with boots, robe and stuff on the utility belt, that's just my .2c

EHh I think it looks great. The pants don't have to be baggy unless you want them baggy. The flared tabbords makes me think of a samuari.

Nice garb.
But I have to wonder what's going to happen to the flared tabards when you have a robe on over your shoulders.

Tranzan: That is the "fake" however it is varied slightly from the pattern, I know what you mean about the flared design of the tabbards but it is just a way for them to stand out and its a bit of personal style ( plus I'm a bit "fluffy" around the middle and they serve to even me up) and they are a little short yes, but I actually like the tabbards a bit short, again personal preference.
Loreen: I actually wondered the same thing so I did some tests with some regular coats and here are the results. If the robe is heavy enough the interfacing (the thick dryer sheet looking stuff sewed into them to make them stand up) will flatten out and then it will reshape after I remove the robe. Now I was also thinking about a sleeveless robe to go with this and im thinking that it might look really keen with the flares.
KEEP THE QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS COMING!!

Sleeveless, Defiantly sleeveless.:-D W/ the tunic sleeves it'll rock. Lighter wieght, easier in the summer. I've no problem with tabbords being the same length at the tunic. A bunch of Jedi in AOTC have them that way. some even have very narrow sleeves.

Yeah, there were plenty of Jedi in ATOC where the tabards are the same length as the tunic. However, the longer tabards do give you more margin for error; if either front or back get pulled down a little bit, the other ends of the tabards are still longer than the tunic on the other side.

That's cool, if that's what you like, that's what you like What did you have in mind for a sleeveless robe? Were you thinking of something like Anakin's in ATOC? If you are, I'm afraid to say that it will not sit on the extended tabards... The cloak is fitted so it cups the shoulders right around to the front of the arms, (How it stays on when walking) and that would be directly on top of the tabards... I'd suggest something more like an open fronted poncho, with extended back and front... That should sit on the tabards much better than a cloak like Anakin's...

Aye I was planning something like Anakin's and I see what you mean...However, my grandmother has found a way around almost any snag that we had during the construction portion and I'm pretty sure she can find a way around this...I wont rest until we find the solution!! LOL! Now with that poncho thing I'm gonna need something more visual cause I cant quite grasp the concept. BTW Congrats on the 400 post benchmark!

I may well be wrong, but I think that the properties that allow the tabards to retain their shape after being worn under a jacket, will be too springy for the cloak to weigh down, and it would most likely try to constantly slip off your shoulders.... I'll try and draw something up for you tomorrow as it's getting a bit late here, but think of a poncho, but with the front slit open in the middle and the back coming down to the floor. Almost like a cape (rather than a cloak) Thanks on the congrats
