My costume is getting close to being finished!! Its nowhere near good enough for membership...YET!! As a matter of fact some of you perfectionists *looks at Shadowchaser (dont worry Loreen im just playen ;D)* are gonna notice some MAJOR flaws. However for my first costume I'm mighty satisified with what Grandma (read, really really really patient seamstress) is whipping up! We've got the Tunic cooked up and are now in the process of getting the tabbards looking decent. After that we are gonna do a fake undertunic (just the collar) and then a really bad repro of the obi. Im using some off brand Dockers for the pants, for the belt im using something that I picked up at an army surplus store that needs to be modified (but due to gas costs prolly wont for a good while), and Im gonna go Robe-less for the time being (the gas thing again) and lastly I've got a fund started for some of those boots Mon-Jas reccomends. Questions, Comment, Concerns, and Gripes can be made by replying to this whole circus!! Whee, Woohoo!! *does back flips*

Sounds like things are coming together nicely With some of the things though, I'd suggest just getting the correct thing to save on time and costs, like the collar, for example... A simple cotton kimono makes a perfect under-tunic, and they cost next to nothing

Thanks for the heads up, I understand but my hard-headedness compels me to try it this way first, but I'll prolly get around to it sooner or later (prolly later, still falling back on the gas reasoning)
