I trained as a scrub tech ( hands instruments to the surgeon)......got tired of the Docs...lol Yeah. Surgeons. The three sections of the hospital I don't want to work, in decending order, because of the usual personalities of the MD's (there are individual differences, but it amazed me how similar are the physicians in each specialty): Surgery Neurology Cardiology My hospital doesn't have a burn unit. I imagine that's a very tough place to work.

For a good part of the year I work with 6th. grade students in a Behavior Disorder classroom. By far the worst behaviors I have ever seen from 11-12 year old children. If I only had a dollar for every time I was called the "F" word or a variation thereof.
The scary thing is that there are a large number of regular ed students that don't behave a whole lot better. The only difference is they haven't been labled.
I was donned with a new title this year by one of my students. As I was sending him to the time out room for the 3rd. time he turned, looked me straight in eye and said-"thanks alot Professor Dickweed." Just another typical day at school.

I thought Iowa was all farm fields and small towns....Up until about 10 years ago when I drove thru Iowa for the first time ever. Cedar Rapids was huge It wasn't all farm fields

Yeah, and to make it somewhat relevant to this thread...those people do absolutely NOTHING worth mentioning. Man, was I happy to see that judge put Paris back in prison to serve her time! Maybe she'll gain some perspective in there, although I have doubts.

I've been working in this classroom for four years now. I look forward to seeing some of these kids' pictures in the paper and on the local news broadcasts in the next 5-10 years. Actually it's the Sunday visits to our local prison that I'm really waiting for. All I will say is three words. TOLD YOU SO.
