but I'd prefer it be in something related to painting or color. I'm thinking home depot.... Leda, i have a buddy in austin, tx that is an artist and for a day job he does house painting....lots of "faux finishes" and those types of things that require a little more than just a roller. He also has done a few gigs painting murals. He's done jungle scenes and army scenes for kids' bedrooms, etc. do you have any samples of your work? That's what I'd like to do. I have to prepare some faux samples, I have to practice doing that. I might try to work with my bro-in-law on some interior painting jobs, just to get the hang of working in someone else's house, and the business end of it all. I did this mural in my nephew's bedroom a couple of years ago: They've sold the house since then, but the current owners have that room as their bar/entertainment room. Heheh.

Well I am a college student by day caregiver by night.
However, I am on the board of directors for my neighborhood association and a member of the Lions Club. Also, I am a member of the Boy Scouts of American and serve time to time on Eagle Scouts Board of Reviews.
In my spare time I wear a star wars costume and do a lot of charity events but I am also a member of 5 star wars groups and love every minute of it being in costume esp my Jedi costume. Brings so many smiles to kids faces.

Very cool Leda Myself, I am a Graphic Designer, I work at a printshop and its great! Exactly where I want to be I get to work on many different things and its always great seeing them printed after. Although my spare time is pretty crazy, as someone mentioned before on shear number of Star Wars groups I belong to about the same, though I lead the local Rebel Legion group (and am LCJ for Jedi), part of the 501st and here of course, and I started an Anakin forum at www.sonsofthesuns.com which has become pretty popular. I also do Stargate costuming and Doctor Who Never a dull moment here!

Oh, did I forget to say I'm a mom? Primary caregive, dinner cooker, taxi driver, homework helper, entertainer, scheduler, family financier, councelor, medic, tailor, clothes washer, housekeeper, shopper, etc, etc, etc.... It doesn't end with diapers. No. It goes on and on... for 20 years per child! Start counting Himiko! I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to George Lucas, for had he not created Eps 1,2 and 3, I would not have had the desire to emulate the characters he calls "Jedi", and would never have had the motivation to learn to work a sewing machine to create a jedi costume. In turn, I would not have had the spare leather lying around, and the means to sew strips of said leather together when my 17 year old son called me from school this morning, stating he needed thirty, sturdy mobius strips by tomorrow for his physics project, and urgently begged me to help him, since he still had to finish the presentaion video, and it would likely take him all night. Hence, I have spent the better part of my unemployed afternoon cutting and sewing thirty strips of leather to become take-home mobius bracelets for his fellow students. Am I really unemployed? I think not.
