The Obi-Wan tunic on display at CIII really looked like the obi and tabards were attached to the tunic at the back. And it didn't have any tabard tails on the back, like his Ep I tabards.

You are exactly correct. I study that costume for about an hour taking some very detailed pics. I came up with that exact same theory. So that is how i went abount on constructing this one. I sewed the tabbards down to the tunic in the back under the obi. That also keeps them from pulling out in the back. If you add a small piece of velcro over that and put a piece on the obi it will keep it from riding up as well.

Hey, I never thought of that! Sewing the tabbards to the Obi was what went through my head, but sewing them to the tunic seems alot more practical

Kamen your Obi-Wan tunic looks amazing! Spot on! Sewing the tabbards to the tunic in the lower back is exactly what I did. I sewed mine at the shoulders as well. It certainly keeps them from sliding off.

I have a feeling that you aren't to different in size from Ewan, at least, I know fron seeing Liam Neeson up close what size he is, and seeing them on film gives me a pretty good idea what size he is. As for the tabbards, I think the width looks about the right proportion on you, but the fabric is a bit thinner than the weight they used, doubleing it helps, but adding batting will just add weight but not the way you want it too. We've all been looking for the right weight in the crinkle cotton, most often without much success. See Primrodo's thread elsewhere about that contact he has, and the order he's placing.
