wow that's good, I love it when people do Jedi robes like that and other thing and really pay attention to detail very good, how did you get it to look "battle damaged" it looks like you just burnt some holes with a lighter or something.

Hopefully I can catch everyones questions at once. Thanks for the compliments and insite. I am running late for work as it is. Oh Well. I am the boss.
I agree the Tabbards are thin. They are already double layered. I thought of adding in some batting but it didn't look right and they got stiff and did not flow well when spinning. I am open to suggestion on the thinning issue.
On Distressing how to: Hot KINGSFORD charcoal. Nothing works better when trying to replica hot flying lava rocks than a hot piece of charcoal. It also melted the ends so no threads will start to come apart. Then a little airbrushing and some stratigically places smears of charcoal ash and vouala!! Instanct lava damage. Well not quite instant. It took about a day. But it beats hanging it over MT. Saint Helens for a bit.
Material: is Cotton Crinckle Cloth from Joanne's. About 5.95 a yard. (outer tunic) plain 100% cotton (inner tunic)
If i missed someone's question I appoligize and will catch it after work.

apologize not needed Primrodo, that is why I posted the pics. Off of this I will be attempting a 99% accurate Obi Wan EP III, material, demisions (based on size comparisons), props, boots, you name it.
The Tabbards for this one were 6.5" wide by 70" long. I just completed new tabbards for my next attempt. They are 7.5" wide. I agree totally they were not wide enough. I still think that they are to skinny or thin also. Pics of obi wan's seem to have a little poof to them. I have the same problem with the Obi. Without using batting and stiffening them up I am not sure how to remedy the problem? Always looking for suggestions.

The tabbords to me appear to be the right width at the shoulder. It looks amazing.

Interesting...6.5 is accurate. You know what it might totally be something to do with how you have the "waist" and the dummy is it on. My suggetion before getting tabards that are just way too long is to get it on a person (you maybe ) And snap some pictures Them being too thin maybe an optic illusion. On making them thicker, my only thought would be to make them double thickness -Justin

Very nice job distressing it.. How did you do it? Is it sprayed? Also, a note about posting pics.... make sure the image is not larger than the display screen, otherwize reading the rest of the posts in the thread becomes difficult. ------------------------- Oh sorry, I really should read the thread before asking repetitive questions...
