My tattoo is a Gryphon (or Griffin, or Griffen....lol) that is above my left ankle....which is perfect.....because with the Jedi boots on...you can't see it... There is nothing to say that Jedi can't have tattoos.......I LOVE my tattoo and it was worth the pain of getting it.... I think a lot of different tattoos would totally work in the Star Wars Universe.... well... except one that says like... "Harleys forever".....lol.... ;D Schph, do you have any pictures of your tattoo, I'd be really interested to see it wow....actually...I guess I don't have a photo of my tatoo.... but...the design I used was from the TV Series "Buffy"...for those of you who watched Buffy....the character Angel had a tatoo on his back of a gryphon.....that is what I used...but took out the "A" that the gryphon was perched on....it is an awesome tattoo...the tattoo artist did a fabulous job...and I had it done in all black....but with a red eye... here is a link that shows what my tatoo basically looks like.....just remove the A...and I also took out some of the shading....too busy... maquisleader.com/buffy/tattoo.htmor here: www.tourvic.com/toddmcintosh/images/bigtattoo.jpeg

ive been kinda bored and thinking about it, and might have my jedi have some kind of full back and arms tribal, nothing heavy but just swirly, in full jedi garb it wouldnt be visible. i also think im gonna keep her true to my own ears and have her ears stretched to 0s (8 mm)

If you are planning on having such an extensive tattoo, you'll probably be looking at spending anywhere between $500-$1000 to complete it, and probably several months (or even years) untill it's complete. That is unless you have that kind of money spare and can afford to get it done all at once (but not one tattoo session;D)

i wouldnt be getting these done on myself but ive been designing several tattoos for tigus, shes going to have tattoos from her hands up her forearms, down her spine, on her sides from waist to hips and down around her ankles. heres a picture of the unfinished spine tattoo also started on the tattoos for her ankles, the long part will run down the back of her legs then the wide part i started on will wrap around her ankle and this is what her hands will look similar to (only they will be in black) and she wraps her wrists so you wouldnt see much past that anyway although there is design under the gloves

I really like your designs, they've got an organic, almost liquid look to them, I think they'd definitely look good on a Jedi, as they could actually represent the flow of the Force, or possibly star charts that also show nebulas. It'd be a shame to have the designs covered by a traditional Jedi costume though, something like Aayla Secura's would show them to much better effect

tigus isnt a very traditional jedi, shes more confortable without shoes on, in baggy pants and a tank top type of a shirt so her tattoos do get shown off a little. and she has a cool master so she can get away with that kind of stuff. and shes only 15 and still a padawan

(Alien/tribal markings)

you picked it up pretty well, they flow around her like the force does through her, she is a very odd jedi. very strong with the force but she doesnt see it... she knows shes special because she gets away with things but really wants to be treated like everybody else. she wears handwraps so that she can restrict her wrists and slow herself down enough to sparr without hurting anyone. she does respect tradition, when its out of respect for the order, she knows the difference between formal and informal and when both should be used. she wears typical jedi garb when she knows she should but when she doesnt have to she knows that too and dresses how she wants. (i have pages and pages written about her.. i tried not to ramble on too much but i think i did)

I really like the sound of the character, especially the idea of the handwraps to slow her down to other Jedi's levels It'd be good to see any costume concepts you have (even if they're not strictly screen accurate ;D) A suggestion, if I may, is rather than handwraps (which might look a bit 'rough') how about something like these? www.ravenswoodleather.com/bracers/kendo.html

Ahh, I've seen the concept art before, with some other Traditional Jedi costumes I really like how you've recreated the wrappings

Thats the concept design from the jedi academy game i think. Im probably going to have bracers on my wrists. One of my designs for my character is to have tatoos similear to Darth Mauls on my face while wearing a mask like plokoon to add a little bit of the battle damaged vader look to it.
