Here are some pics of me in costume. Just curious as to what people think of it. www.myonlineimages.com/public.aspx?MemberID=1779The pants are regular pants bought at a shop and the utility belt is a belt I customised and added a strip of left over fabric from what I used to make the robe to. The buckle is a buckle from a dog lead. It is a bit flawed, had to add bits to the body of the tunic and robe sleeves to make it fit. Robe sleeves are a tad short still but nothing major. My lightsaber is a costume accessory that I got from costumeholidayhouse.com It is customised as I painted some parts gold. For the inner tunic I customised a top I bought. The tunic, tabards and obi are made from an old sheet so they make me look somewhat authentic there is some staining and a couple of tiny holes in the tunic. I've used a nokia belt clip for the lightsaber clip and pen lids for the food/energy capsules. Pouches covered with more left over robe material complete the belt accessories. I know the belt droops when the lightsaber is attached so I am going to tighten it.

Very nice! I used to have a doggie chain thing as a belt buckle! It does the job! Great job with the saber glow effect also!

Thanks. Unfortunately I can't become a full member of the Jedi Assembly until they complete their site move. So I"m stuck being just a messageboard member till then.

I"m going to be redoing my tunic, tabards and Obi. Am using a knit material called Nautical knit. It looks very smiliar to what the real costumes were made of.

Now I'm curious....what is nautical knit? Is it cotton? And what makes it different from regular knit or t-shirt or jersey fabric?

I think Nautical knit isn't as thick as regular wool. Not sure what it is made of maybe wool.

I"ve found that I need to redo my utility belt as the one I was using dun fit round me nemore since da tunic, tabbards and obi are thicker. It means that unfortunately I'm going to end up with a belt buckle at the back but it can't be helped.

You could always go the velcro route Costume looks great though, look forward to seeing this nautical knit

My first utility belt had velcro but that would mean removing the buckle and I lose length on da belt doing that. Should be getting photos done tonight and have them up later in the week.
