If you are looking for proffesional SPFX makeup supplies, they are one of the few suppliers in the midwest.
I highly reccomend them If you are experienced in creating makeup FX...

Hi!
Just to let folks know..I FINALLY did finish my twi'lek lekku. I will be bringing them with me for Dragon*Con. If they get a good reception, then I will post pics..and tell ya how i did it.
They might not be 100 percent like the movies, but for on a budget, they are not bad. Since I do Klingon costuming as well, I like to work on how to make diffrent latex appliances as best I can with my own style and additions. I also like trying to come up with things that can stand up to the riggors of a convention!
ON to DRAGON*CON!
;D
(Hmmm..a Cathar would be nice...)

I'm making a cat-lady (cheetah) jedi myself. A little work in prosthetics: ear tips and muzzle (might lifecast that one myself...). Short wig that I can spot... Getting the makeup to be consistent is going to be the really fun part. Well, that and the hands. But it will be a great costume when it's finished.

I'm very into non-human SW costumes, and just starting on my very first one, a Rodian Jedi. Has anyone seen this mask, and can someone help me find the hands (I know they exist somewhere) I think it may be a Rubies, but this is rather good-looking next to their dreadful Yoda.

It is definitly a Rubies mask, I'm not sure if we have the hands in stock at work, I'll check monday if you want. If we don't have them I'll see if we can order them for you.

Do you have wookiee costumes at Rubies by any chance? I remember before halloween i was going into lots of costume stores trying to find a wookiee mask, but all i could find were highly overpriced stormtroopers and jarjar.

Oh yes. I have Kitty eartips and muzzle already. And your right, just trying to blend it all together, and decided on a specific look is a killer.
I love to check out sales on any costume shop, and collect diffrent bits and pieces, to possible use later. I dont like the full masks though, and try to avoid them. I like at least part of my face out.
Some conventions like Dragon*Con, unless you have a spotter/guide with you...no way would i wear anything that restricts how well you can see. Its just too croweded..and then stairs, elevators and such. But for smaller conventions, it should be fun.
Hmmm...A bothan would also be good..if I can figure on which version to make. hehehe.
Alll.....I'll get to it...eventually!
