A liberal CO is important.....but also...there have been times where the person/organization requesting our appearance states that they only want Vader and Stormtroopers.....or only Original Trilogy costumes (which effectively leaves out Jedi)...... Sometimes our events have been limited in the number of people they want...and sometimes it is "the more the merrier"....so each event that I have gone to is a different experience.

When I did a Mardi Gras parade last year, the wife of one of the troopers wore her husband's spare armor for the first time. Afterwards, whe pointed out all the places where her armor had pinched her. These were treated like 'war wounds' by the other troopers, like you weren't truly broken in until your costume had bitten you. Did you get pinched? <<<
My husband never got picnhed in his, but he didn't have much to trimoff or anything, it actually fitted him perfectly when he got it altogether. Guess whoever the body type the suti was made off of was his body type. Thopugh he learned never to order the boots in your size and try and wear those things inside for comfort--they make the boots tight and hurt feet, so now he doesn't wear them with them inside. JMD

I didn't have the costume on for really long..but..yes...I did get pinched...and...I assume I will get a real good case of Trooper Tracks when I wear it for an extended period...
There was enough trimmed off mine to make a "Biker Scout"...lol...and I am still trimming! I trimmed an inch off of the shoulder bells tonight and sanded them....I think I will have to take some off of the calf pieces too...but for now...I want to leave them alone untill I get a good "road test" in....
I hope to head up to "Flashback Weekend" at the end of the month...and really give it a good "walk around the block"...
The shoes...well ...I had little choice...as it was...I ended up going to CABoots...and getting the smallest size they offered....and they are still a little big...but I think they will work out ok....once again...they need to be "road tested"...

Wow. I thought about teh Red Guard and talked to a couple of them at C3. They said the costume is very HOT (even more so than a stormie) and very limiting. SO I didn't go that way.
Stillll looking for the perfect Imp costume....

well I like it since there's very little actual armor - only the helmet. even if I go the crimson empire way I have the baseball equipment some of the tutorials recommend. heck after wearing 3 layers of a jedi cloak in florida heat this'll be a breeze - the only thing I'm worried about is the helmet. well that and finding crimson fabric...

I love the costume. And that way no one really knows who is under there.

congrats schph! how long before you go "dirty" and become a TS? maybe one day i'll get into a set of armor.
i have a raider in the works...slowly but surely... it'll be in the works for a while. I heard a secret for a part of it that's been bugging me for a while now...the godzilla kit comes with a resin nose piece....the foil is HARD to do. Chrome/silver paint looks like poo... one of the stormies that crashed COSI on saturday told me about his stuff called Rub 'N Buff. (sounds naughty) anyone ever use it?
anyway...congrats on the new deployment schph!

congrats schph! how long before you go "dirty" and become a TS? TS armor is actually a different set of armor...the abdomen is a different design.... I like the "Death Star Pretty Boy" look.... The only thing that remains to be done is to put the aerator speakers in the helmet...I am on a waiting list for a complete set up of these...it comes with the speakers, amp, mouthpiece and fan set....I already have fans...but two are good...and four will be better... My first real "road test" in real life with this costume ....er...uniform...will be next Saturday at a child's party...I left it up to the organizer as to what costume they wanted me to wear...and the Stormtrooper was chosen....

Due.. a stormtrooper is what most kids will recongise over a Jedi that they dont know..lol.. I myself have two fans in my bucket and I have to order the amp and headset to finish off the speakers. Currently I am still waiting for my cummberbun and boots and then I can randomly start walking aound the complex to test it all out..lol
