That's how i make my stunt sabers. Try wrapping some of that clear box tape around the smaller pipes so it will get a tight fit then drill a few holes into the pipe and a dowel rod or what ever blade your are using and screw it in. Now none of my sabers are fan film pretty, mine are made to just bash around.
