To be honest, metal is actually easier to work than PVC. Yes, you have to use more pressure to get through, but that is actually a bonus. A saw slipping against a metal tube while trying to cat through, might leave some light scratches that can be polished out, the same saw slipping against PVC will leave an untreatable gash in the tube. With metal, the amount of effort involved means you are very aware of exactly what you are doing and trying to achieve, so there is much less likelihood of a mistake. Best of luck with the project
