I had considered using two sink riser tubes (1.5" dia.) and connecting them with a piece I found in the Electrical section (maybe plumbing). It was a short, heavier tube (maybe 4") with three screws mounted into the casing (slightly raised) I keep thinking it would look good as the center of a double blade saber.
Tha would be one of the easiest ways to do it I think.
