Saberbelt has come up with a very sensible way of making belts without snaps or velcro and I'm very tempted to try it. But I've got to finish some other costumes first before trying that.
The Jedi costume habit has one pitfall for me in that brown is one of my worst colors. Well, yellow is worse than anything, but brown isn't great. I'm a winter and the only brown on that pallet is taupe. I didn't even own anything that was brown before the Jedi costuming. But that never stopped a Jedi and there are some shades of brown that I don't look horrible in.
And now I always check out brown tones on fabric now. Just in case there's something cool. Fortunately, prices are a good way of preventing too much accumulation.
