Yes, you just wrap it around and tie. However, don't you find the ties bulk up under the belt? I don't have long ties on mine and I just pin them in place. lol...with all the bulk around a Jedi's waist...I guess I don't notice it...but sure...they could be pinned in place....and again...every Jedi is different....so Kryy...you may or may not like the Obi better....let us know....I am putting it in the mail today...so you should get it in a few days.... here is the tutorial at our main site... www.thejediassembly.com/tutorials.php?id=b5hif you click on the last illustration of the sash it shows you the basic idea of an Obi... and here is a child's Jedi costume I made that shows the Obi tied...since the childs costume is smaller...I ended up making the tie out of seam binding as it was easier...and you won't see it anyway...
