I got it for $17.13 on amazon. It's a medium sized paper-cover book.
While I did not see any first person narratives from either Yoda or Qui-Gon, it does have information about them and some artwork, too. And it does have some nice narratives from Luke, Leia and Obi-Wan along with other Jedi Masters. It gives a nice timeline of the Jedi Order from the beginning up through the death of Mara Jade.
The first part of the book, little more than half, is about the Jedi. A little less than half is about the dark side, the Sith and other Force-users (not necessarily dark ones) and their relationship to the Jedi.
I think it will be a handy reference - like I said, I'm not that interested in the EU books / comics / games, which this book is based on along with the movies. But I would like to get the information from the. And this book is indexed, which is helpful.
However, I don't know about getting it used. I mean if a page comes out of a new copy, then I don't know about what condition a used copy would be in.
