I got my copy today from amazon. The art is pretty which is scattered throughout the book. Some is very good, but most is average. I do like the layout and the format. It is a combination of historical narrative and first person narratives from the various characters. Most of them are EU characters or movie characters in the post-ROTJ times though there are a few movie character narratives from the Saga-times. And no Qui-Gon narratives! Only a few Dooku and Obi-Wan. And I didn't see any Yoda narratives, which is surprising. Bummer. I suppose this is because there are very few Qui-Gon centered novels/comics.
It is full of EU Jedi stuff, which is fine with me since I can catch up on what people are saying about the EU without actually READING the books.
I'll use it for reference for fanfiction. I'll probably ignore a lot of it, but I do like knowing the background.
The bad: the binding is bad!!! I've just got it and was looking through it and a page came out of the index. Ugh! If I were to return it, then that would be the reason.
EDIT: And in general I think that the writing style and quality is good and entertaining, even if it has a lot of EU in it.
