I enjoyed parts --
I found other parts stupid or crass. Our cable went out right after they went to the cell block to rescue Leia (the "situation normal" part) so it sounds like we missed the worst parts.
I did NOT like them making Obi-Wan a doddering old fool...
He's sort of the hero of the whole epic, next to Luke of course.
- the resemblance to "the real thing" complete with the music
- the shopping mall gag about "where are we in the Death Star" (references to Banana Republic, Lady Footlocker, Mrs. Fields, and "we parked over here"..)
- the "Imperial March" elevator music
- the two Imperial guards asking to have a safety railing installed
