I can imagine Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan conversing after they had both joined the force and it goes something like this...
Obi-Wan: Alas Master, I've lost communication with the matter universe...
Qui-Gon: What!? It's only been ten years! Didn't I teach you anything?
Obi-Wan: Yes, I should've listened I suppose. I wonder...
Qui-Gon: So, now you consider my teachings and start thinking outside the box!
LOL...Sorry for that bit of insanity I've just always imagined Qui-Gon using his odd sense of humor to annoy the ever stoic Obi-Wan, at least once after they are both with the force.
