In I, Jedi, i think Corran describes the 'Spidey-Sense' like this:
He could see the different movements available to the opponent, or wotever it was, like a ghost image or sumthin, and the ways Corran could counter them. When the opponent began 2 move in 1 of the ways he had 'foreseen', the Jedi simply countered in the appropriate manner. I also believe the Jedi augmentation techniques go for anything the Jedi can do, ie. yelling, running, being fast, picking up sumthin huge, etc.
