I was so excited by the QT files I bought the dvd yesterday.
I haven't watched this film in years (maybe decades). Man this movie made me laugh out loud a lot!
A few inside jokes for us Canucks. Geez! Did we really talk like that in the 80's? LOL!
The Mackenzie "fan film" wasn't a Star Wars spoof at all. More of an Omega Man flavour to it.
I knew Angus played an ex-hockey player, but I had forgotten he was playing a French-Canadian 'ockey player eh? He had the accent down pat!
Another thing I learned this time around: in one cliffhanger scene, the Mackenzie brothers drive off the end of a pier after the brakes of their van are sabotaged. When police divers find the sunken van, Bob, Doug and Angus are inside still alive. The back of the van was filled with hundreds of empty beer bottles- all with a small supply of air that our heroes were using to stay alive. I always thought they were just drinking beer to stay alive (I was 13 when I first saw the film). LOL!
