I can agree with the "aggressive" appearance of muscle memory. another time my dad tried to wake me for school and shook me. I woke up, grabbed his arm, twisted and threw him into the closet door (which cracked). From then on he just came to the foot of my bed and shook the whole bed to wake me. I still react that way even after 20+ years out of the navy. All my friends and family know to yell through the closed bedroom door or from outside my tent if we're camping. It's a learned response from having several wackos in the same compartment on the ship.
