I've been fighting for close to a year and a half in a group called dagorhir. if your familiar with the sca it's similiar to that, the main difference being we use padded weapons rather than padded fighters and the fighting is alot faster paced with the lighter weapons.
anyway, at our big anual event, ragnarock, we were doing a castle siege, I was on the attacking side. an archer shot an arrow at me and i didn't even see it. I just leaned back out of the way of it on reflex. It didn't register until it was passing by my right eye. as soon as it happened i couldn't help but think that the force was with me on that one.
