Here we go !!! **TAG*** Tailon you're it !!!! (heh heh heh)

….Six heads turned in unison as the Jedi sensed Vious’ approach. He was practically broadcasting his challenge through the Force. A quick glance among them confirmed all had sensed the same thing as they turned and ran toward the landing bay while the remaining refugees retreated to the lower levels. Kaelyn, Hett, and Kae took the lead while Vos, Starkindler and a young Twi’lek Jedi named Zaneth fell into step behind. They arrived at the side entrance to the hanger bay just as the explosion of a pallet of spare parts and power sources rocked the entrance igniting a nearby stack of fuel tanks.
Kaelyn and Hett barely had time to notice the forms of Makirto and Noriko being tossed behind a section of cargo units by the blast before Kae threw himself at them yelling for everyone to take cover. A fireball of burning fuel was headed their way and the corridor they were in was about to be immolated. As the three Jedi fell clear of the opening Starkindler leaped into it and held up both hands in a guarding gesture.
“Get everyone down behind me!” he yelled “I don’t know if I can take it all!”
Without a second thought the remaining Jedi did as he bid them. Just before the fireball struck the doorway seemed to glow briefly in a net-like pattern with Starkindler at the center. Heat broke over all of them and the smell of smoke filled the corridor. Destruction stopped at the doorway, however, and Starkindler glowed with red-hot light as his Force Presence absorbed the explosion. His robe began to smolder at the edges and his features were a mask of pain. Never had he absorbed so much power at one time, never had he doubted his ability to do so until now. He could feel the power eating at him seeking an outlet. He knew he would have to release the energy or be destroyed by it.
Just then, as the smoke began to clear, a figure flew through the entryway, red blade echoing the explosion. With a silent ‘thank you’ to the Force Starkindler released all the energy at the attacking figure in a massive thrust. Even though he was a hundred feet away the energy wave caught Vious and tossed him back through the entryway like a rag doll. Temporarily spent, Starkindler began to fall backward only to be caught by Hett and Vos, who had managed to rise first.
“That was Vious!” Kaelyn yelled as the others rose to their feet. “Let’s press our advantage and get him in the open, before he can recover!”
“I’ll be fine,” Starkindler offered a bit weakly, “I look worse than I feel.”
“You are a terrible liar Tenric,” Hett replied lowering Starkindler gently to a sitting position, “but you are also right. All of us need to confront Vious now.” Turning to Kaelyn he added, “I can still sense Makirto and Noriko through the Force. They’re alive and stopping Vious is their best chance to stay that way.”
“I’ll be along shortly.” Tenric added a bit stronger. “Just be careful, something’s not right here.”
“Don’t worry we will.” Kae replied as they ran out to meet Vious….
….Vious’ Force sense went absolutely insane just as he landed inside the hanger. He only had time to notice two things before a massive wave of energy hit him and tossed him back outside the enclave to land nearly one hundred feet away. The first had been the ship he’d tracked here. The second had been a new, slightly singed, Jedi standing in the side entryway and glowing with power. Vious’ last thought before he hit the ground and blacked out was ‘not again!!’….
….As the others ran out to meet Vious, Tenric climbed to his feet. Something wasn’t right about this. Vious had to have a reason for broadcasting his presence before the attack that way. Years of meditation under his Master’s tutelage had honed his ability to sense currents in the Force. In the brief moment before he had blasted Vious back outside Tenric had seen another current extending from him. Instinct told him there was another, subtler, arm to Vious’ attack and he meant to find out what it was. Right now he wasn’t much use to the others in a fight. Just standing and walking was taking most of his concentration. So trusting both himself and the others to the will of the Force he calmed himself and sought out the current he had sensed. A moment later he felt it again and hobbled off after it….
…Zaneth was torn. She had headed out with the others to confront this Vious but she felt Starkindler holding something back. Should she stay with the others or keep tabs on him? Palpitane would probably want her to remain with the group since they most certainly went to face another of his agents and she might have a chance to strike against them. However, Starkindler had seemed suspicious of her from the start and might prove to be the greatest risk to her personally. Her decision was made for her when she glanced back and saw Starkindler rise and seem to stumble along after them…
…Vious’ senses swam in confusion as he fought for consciousness. He knew they’d be coming after him and he couldn’t get that glowing Jedi out of his mind’s eye. For the first time since assuming his new life Vious began to seriously doubt himself and his chosen mission.
“Yes. Yes, to Obi-Wan you listen. For once the Dark Path you set foot on, always control you it will. Dominate your destiny.”
“…control you it will…”
“Dominate your destiny.”
“You must choose Tanzan..” Came Obi-Wan’s voice. “Heavy is the mantle of the Jedi, but it is also the most honorable and worthy of paths…”
“…honorable and worthy…”
“You MUST choose Tanzan…”
Suddenly his Force sense alerted him and his reverie was broken. He sprang to his feet, calling his saber to him as he did so. The ringing in his ears and pain in his side faded, as he faced no less than five Jedi approaching him with blades at the ready. Five powerful Jedi who held to the Light side in the face of certain extinction at the hands of Palpitane and Vader. They had him in the open where they could take advantage of their number. Until this mission he would have thought defeat impossible. The Dark side had made him invincible, or had it? Ever since setting out on this assignment he had been thwarted, bested, or outmaneuvered at every turn.
No matter. They would die by the Emperor’s Hand. They had made their choice, as had he.
“You MUST choose Tanzan…”
As they Jedi came closer Vious’ blade wavered a bit as he wrestled with these memories and the emotions they woke in him. He had made his choice. There was no going back, or was there…
