Ky-Wan: Oh, I actually prefer a longer skirt too. This is the shortest skirt on all my costumes. Most of the others have lengths closer to Qui-Gon's. But I've decided rather than letting the length of the skirt on this one bother me, I'm just going to look at it as having a little variety in my outfits. This did, however, inspire me to standardize my process for making tunics and actually finally make my own patterns for everything I do so that I'm not always "winging it" and sometimes guessing wrong. Now I know exactly how long to make my skirt to make it long, medium, or short, so I shouldn't have this problem again. And I have the skirt-pulling problem too, but I do it with all my Jedi costumes, not just this one. I always seem to be adjusting whenever I'm in costume no matter how well tailored I make them. I'm trying to break myself of it, though. My girlfriend (not a costumer) said to me, while helping to collect money at a charity costume event with the Rebel Legion last year, that I look "very majestic" in costume... until I start futzing with it and adjusting it all the time. But man, that's a hard habit to break! I'm still working on it.
