monkey: No, the covertec works just fine with the Graflex clip. Actually, the pommel is what I was worried about, with the spokes coming off it, but it isn't a problem either.

Ky: I did lengthen the skirt about two inches. That was as much as I could lengthen it by putting in an extra strip of fabric under the obi without the seam showing.
I would like to just make a new, longer skirt, but I don't have enough fabric left and I haven't been able to match the color yet. I've found that brown crinkle cotton comes in bunches of shades and it's often hard to find the exact same shade again.
Since this was $1.00/yd fabric from the Wal-Mart bargain bin, I can't just go get more of it, I have to keep looking til I find the same shade again. If I do, I will put a whole new longer skirt on. I'd rather have a longer skirt, but I think it's at least as long as Bultar Swan's (proportionally), so at least there's a precedent (I think):
