Thanks, everyone! It does help to have others reinforce that the work is worth the effort.
Primrodo, yes, it is a different saber, and Seda, it is that saber, but I actually changed it too. The gold and weathering looked a lot better in pics than in real life, so I decided to go with a cleaner prequel look. But it's still weathered, though, which I like, with lots of little scratches and with the remnants of the paint still lingering in the nooks. Here's what it looks like now (and in the pic above):
