The outfit works well, it's just the shoulder armor that bugs me. My grandmother didn't like the way the pattern was so like I said on some other forms she modifyed it to her ecpections and it's nice the way it turned out and the obi is sewn onto the shoulder stuff so not much can be done to change it. To keep them in place since the pattern was made for a man I'm taking a small safey pin and pinning it below to hold them, but my belt does help to keep them secure as well. Aaaaah finished costume is so nice. ;D It looks very Jedi and that's a nice match with the robe and the boots. The important question is how does it feel when you wear it? That test wearing tells you where those little things are that need to be adjusted.
In one picture you have the tabards over the obi. Actually, in the movie costumes, the obi is tied over the tabards. And that hold the tabards in place better that way, too.
