I have a degree in film-making which also covered photography, so I know how much lighting can alter the appearance of a fabric. But. The picture I've shown (although not the clearest) shows both tunic and pants under the same light source reacting as completely different colors, and not even the darker pants as with the pictures you showed, so I think this is something we're going to have to agree to disagree over...
Regardless of color accuracy, it is a fantastic costume. I'd be interested to see what you could come up with if you were to now do a personal costume, given the amount of reaseach that you clearly put into your projects
When you say three seperate costumes, do you mean three seperate versions of Anakin's costume, and where they all displayed at the same time? Even an official display like the ones you showed above is still slightly suspect in my opinion, as a while back, Kai linked a set of pictures from a similar event. One of the sabers was supposed to be Obi-Wan's TPM/AotC saber, but the detail on the upper emitter was nothing like what had been seen either on screen or in the visual dictionary, but clearly something that had been produced specifically for the event. It wouldn't surprize me if such a thing happened with the costumes as well, and they created display costumes specifically so they wouldn't have to run the risk of anything happening to the originals.
Are the leather tabbards completely seperate from the cloth ones, or are they attatched to each other? The cloth tabbards still do not appear to come as far past the obi as the leather ones do, is that so?
