I actually put pills in them! (Ibuprofen in case I get a headache and Pepcid for bad con food). Since a lot of the pants I wear when in costume don't have pockets, all my belt pouches are functionable. I had a place for everything but pills, which tended to end up as dust rolling around in an ammo pouch with my house keys and stuff. Thus, the pill bottles. And they look pretty cool, too. Not canon, but definitely something that could have been, I think.
Ah, I thought they might be pill bottles... I have a couple of them myself, on my keychain, for things like advil and tums! I thought they might look good on a jedi belt, but I never worked out how to attach them. Using a hair clip is a good idea. They really do look good... and they're functional!
