You have make sure it's crinkle gauze, or bubble gauze, because most silk gauze I've seen is pretty flat.... unless a flat fabric is what you are looking for.
Think of flat gauze as what you would dress a wound with, but with a tighter weave. That's what most swatches of silk gauze that I have sent for look like. You could make good sheer curtains with it too.
