Well this was the thing, I couldn't believe it when I saw it. The Costume Rules do allow people to use figures as reference for their costumes as long as they are authorized figures, and not customized ones, so according to that, someone could make an Anakin costume with a bright blue tunic... Now, if that's what they want to do, then fair enough, but I can't understand why someone would want to do so when their is the actual movies as reference (and because the figure is so different to the accepted norms of the costume) I think Lucas wants to be a bit more carefull about what design's he's signing off as okay, because that one was seriously cringeworthy. I can explain the reson for that............. before the variation issue came up, the reason was for figures such as the EU Luke, Leia, Mara Jade, and Kyle Katarn figures. Thos figures were based on the EU characters and we were ok with allowing those costumes, based on the figures into TJA. That was before all these variations into screen accurate costumes came into play. However, I'll bring it up with the Counci again.
