I like the sound of your planned saber, but when you say prequel Obi-Wan grips, do you mean the TPM/AtoC saber, or the RotS one? I can't quite visualize how the two would combine, but I do like the sound of it There's no need for a dremel when it comes to the emitter of either of Anakin's sabers, as my tutorial illustrates 
All I use mine for now, is drilling pilot holes for the covertec knobs ;D
