Cool! I'm going to try that when I make the collar piece for the version of Asajj that I'm doing. 
I think the mask is what really finishes it properly Out of curiousity, how're you going to do the bald cap for Assaj? Aurra's is understandable, in that you can pull your hair through as the top-knot, but you'll be cramming a lot of hair under a bald cap... (The Borg Queen makeup was designed with the large head so it could accomodate Alice Krieg's hair under the bald cap)
It'll be an experiment. My hair can get pretty flat, and I would use a wig sock and alot of hairspray to keep it in place. If it doesn't look right I'll just have to affix the robe hood to the back half of the cap. That way I'll still get the bald look in the front, but the hood will cover any stray lumps.
