I think the narrow sleeves are fine. Some jedi in the Geognosis scene have narrow sleeves like this as well. Even in Episode 3, I'd noticed some Jedi had narrow sleeves on the outter tunic. It comes in handy for combat and when or if you want to use bracers, there's not as much fabric to stuff in them.
