You look pretty good in the costume. It came out well. But I'd consider getting a seam-ripper and picking out the extra stitching on the collar and ironing it flat. Unless you're going to fight in it, you won't need the extra reinforcement. It doesn't require any sewing and that stitching is the part that will make people think the tunic is a gi.
Thanks The stitching was something I was concerned about, because it didn't take the dye, but I didn't want to risk unpicking it and having it all fall apart so soon before the vacation ;D Now it's not such an issue, I'll be pulling the stitching out Tanzan that's a nice look. I like the sleevless robe. The whole thing looks great on you! The only thing I would work on is the several rows of stitching around the collar trim. Like Ani said, you can probably pull most of it out. Sometimes dye doesn't take to thread because it's synthetic and not cotton or a cotton blend like the rest of the fabric. Thanks I'm really pleased with how it all works together, I just wish there was some way of getting the colors to photograph as seen with the naked eye ;D I was surprized when the stitching didn't take the dye, but that's going to be coming out
