you mean the tunic isn't really red?I tough it looked great in that reddish/purpuly brown color...
I guess if its brown it looks a whole lot less dark jedi.
Nice background, BTW...
No, to look at with the naked eye, it's a mid brown in the terracotta range (although it is the result of Terracotta, dark brown and burgundy dyes) For some reason, it just won't photograph without looking red, and adjusting the color balance just messes with the rest of the picture
As soon as I saw pictures of Portmeirion at my future in-law's, I knew it would be perfect for a costume shot, and I'm really pleased with how they turned out
The only dissappointment was my fiance was also going to pose for some pictures, but when the time came, we couldn't find her tabards or obi, so we only photographed me, and by the time we'd found them, the weather had turned bad. However, we're going back in June, so there'll be more pictures taken then

(I also guess) - if the "gi" has been altered and doesn't look too much like a gi, maybe the council would allow it... but I wonder if allowing a gi would make a precedent and make more and more GI-Jedi around here... While yours look kinda cool, others wouldn't... a costuming association is all about look...
I don't know, it certainly would be a precedent, but then again, maybe the Council ultimately agreed with the points I made previously about the tunic being relatively hidden beneath the obi and tabards, or that it could be considered a variation on the theme, like Yareal Poof's, and Master Yoda's clothes, which are nothing like other Jedi's clothing. Either way, I'm just really happy with the outcome
